Yes, from a biblical perspective, God absolutely exists. This is the foundational premise of the entire Bible.
The Bible doesn’t argue for God’s existence—it assumes it from the very first words: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Throughout Scripture, God’s existence is presented as self-evident reality, not as a proposition requiring proof.
The biblical texts present God as:
The Creator – responsible for all existence (Genesis 1-2, Psalm 19:1)
Eternal and self-existent – “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14), existing outside of time without beginning or end
Personal and relational – communicating with humanity, entering into covenants, and ultimately revealing Himself through Jesus Christ in the New Testament
Knowable through creation – Romans 1:20 states that God’s “invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made”
The Bible does acknowledge that some people deny God’s existence, famously stating “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Psalm 14:1), but this is presented as a moral or spiritual rejection rather than an intellectual position.
God’s existence isn’t questioned—it’s proclaimed as the central reality around which everything else is understood.
